“For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Are we ready to open our eyes? Or will we let fear blind us to seeing all God has prepared for us.

There were moments when my children were performing or competing when I admit, I would cover my eyes and peek through my fingers. I finally realized that covering my eyes did not effect the outcome. All it did was insure that I would miss the play or only catch a glimpse between my fingers.

Are we ready to open our ears? Or will we choose to increase the world’s chaotic background noise, or plug our ears so neither the nightly news nor God can break through.

Expectation requires full attention, finding the gift in a manger not a palace, finding peace in the heart if not the world, finding
what God has prepared for those who love him, Emmanuel, God with us.
